E-Governance and Service Delivery: Transforming Citizen–Government Interface

Abstract: The paradigm of governance has
undergone a significant transformation with the advent of digital technologies,
leading to the emergence of e-governance as a pivotal mechanism for enhancing
public service delivery. This paper explores the intricate relationship between
e-governance and service delivery, emphasizing how digital platforms have
redefined the citizen-government interface. Through an analysis of theoretical
frameworks, global best practices, and empirical evidence, including a regional
case study of Rajasthan, the paper highlights the transformative potential of
e-governance in fostering transparency, accountability, efficiency, and citizen
empowerment.
