    Bithoor Mahotsav- the Artistic Expression of the First Freedom Struggle of 1857

Abstract – ‘Bithoor Nagar’ situated on the bank of the river Ganga in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh is deeply connected with the first freedom struggle of 1857. The five rivers of Kanpur started their struggle for independence from June (5-25) 1857 to fight the Maratha’s dynasty there son Nana Saheb was made the chief Ramchandra Pandurang and along with Tatya tope started the struggle against the British rule from here.Some aspects of 1857 revolution is start with that day even today Nana Raopeshva memorial Park of Bithoor commemorates that struggle every year is organised here its name ,BITHOOR MAHOTSAV , which showcase the revolutionary innovator and expressionistic nature of 1857 revolution in artistic way. Throw this research article the importance of Bithoor l is to be highlighted on global level and through its art and expression the revolution of 1857 struggle and the contribution of Bithoor is to be showcased by Bithoor mahotsav.
